Antelope Audio’s latest addition to its Orion series of audio interfaces is the Pro Tools HD-compatible Orion32 HD — 64 channels of audio via HDX or USB3. It’ll also run with Pro Tools Native, or any other DAW. Like other Orion interfaces, you get Antelope’s acclaimed clocking technology and FPGA real-time effects modelling capabilities with near-zero latency. In addition to HDX and USB3, Orion32 HD also has MADI, ADAT and S/PDIF connectivity, plus 32-in/32-out analogue I/O via DB25. The monitor outputs are borrowed from Antelope’s Pure2 mastering converter for excellent analogue signal integrity. The interface’s routing and mixing software for both Mac and Windows has Antelope’s colour-coded routing matrix and an alternate matrix-style view to simplify routing. It also features moveable and resizable panels so you can make the best use of your screen real estate. Taking just 1U of rack space, the Orion32 HD offers a whopping amount of I/O and audio quality in a small studio-friendly footprint.

“Antelope Audio is committed to raising possibilities and breaking down boundaries with our interfaces,” says Marcel James, Director of U.S. Sales for Antelope Audio. “By bringing the potent combination of pristine conversion and our versatile FPGA sound-shaping tools to both HDX and Native systems, we are opening yet another chapter in our interface innovations. Studios can now easily switch between Pro Tools HD Sessions and Natives DAW’s to accommodate the modern laptop producer in a flash. We are very excited to demonstrate these innovations first hand at this year’s NAMM Show.”
